Even though entering their first-ever continental adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. Another victory in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to secure direct passage to the last 16, especially after a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Opportunity
This match provided a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, finding the net for the second consecutive succession.
The Shelbourne side that had concluded their domestic season proved outmatched against a largely rotated Palace outfit. The Londoners were already weakened by the news that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with knee problems.

Despite torrential rain in Dublin, Palace rapidly established dominance. A slick move in the 11th minute, sparked by Daichi Kamada's incisive pass, allowed Nketiah to lay on Uche for a straightforward finish.

The match was effectively over eight minutes before half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some comically weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring with his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also missed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a late injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect night for the visiting side.
